MERRI MOODY: When we sat down to develop this program, we thought, let's get something that's really useful to the practicing nurse and useful for the nurse who wants to go on. It's designed for working adults, working nurses. We understand that nurses do shift work. They work evenings. They work nights, so we felt that an online program was just perfect for them.

CANDACE ROTERT: My name is Candace Rotert. I could not do this program, if it were not online. I have four kids, and I'm able to do schoolwork while taking care of my family. I'm able to go on family outings and work full time. And I'm still able to get my assignments done.

MERRI MOODY: Why I would choose this program is that I believe that it really has the tools to make the nurse either better at what he or she is doing now, or help them advance to the next level.

CANDACE ROTERT: The program has helped develop my nursing skills. Because it's allowed me to look into different areas of nursing that I didn't look into before, the insurance aspect and cultural diversity aspect.

MERRI MOODY: When I look at the curriculum and the courses, especially things like the integrative health care, and the finance, and the health care systems and informatics, boy, that's what I need right now as a nurse. And it's also going to really help me apply what I want to apply to advanced practice schooling.

CANDACE ROTERT: I live in a very diverse community, and utilizing the skills that I have learned is really going to help me treat my patients with respect and dignity.

MERRI MOODY: The other element of our program that's unique is our final capstone class actually gives the nurse an opportunity to go and observe an advanced practitioner or a nurse, who does something different that they might be interested in doing in their future. So it's totally future oriented. It's not write a paper on this or write a paper on that. It's go out and experience something that you might want to do in your future.

CANDACE ROTERT: I'm going to make even more of a difference in patients' lives. I'm going to be even more responsible, and just a better nurse, and a better person.

MERRI MOODY: Every nurse, no matter what they do, affects someone's life.
