What to Expect

Shaped by Public Health Experts

Veterans in the field of public health contributed to our MPH curriculum. These public health experts included a long-time employee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a nonprofit leader in the field of public health, a clinical psychologist and former MPH program director, and more. You'll benefit from their influence with real-world lessons and knowledge that helps ensure you're immediately employable when you graduate.

Lead in the Field

This program weaves together social justice, health equity, and leadership concepts to provide you with the in-depth knowledge and experience you need to face public health challenges head-on. You'll emerge as a leader in solving complex public health issues on a local, national, and global scale.

Instructors on the Front Lines

In this program, you'll work side by side with instructors who are practitioners in the field of public health. Our instructors have decades of experience in this field, and they know that, often, what works in theory doesn't work in practice. You'll learn what works both in theory and in practice, as our instructors provide you with the most up-to-date and relevant knowledge to ensure your success in the field.

Industry-Standard Excellence

This master's program was designed according to the nation's highest standards for public health instruction. Receive a high-quality education that prepares you to do meaningful work in this important field.

Specialized Field Experience

Our master's in public health takes you beyond the classroom with at least 240 hours of fieldwork. You'll select an organization in your community where you can apply the skills and knowledge you gain in this program to tackle a pressing public health issue. Your coursework culminates in an integrative final capstone in which you analyze a single public health issue and draw on your fieldwork experience to inform your analysis. This fieldwork ensures you're practicing where you could work as a practitioner.

Lasallian Mission

Saint Mary's is a Lasallian Catholic University with more than 100 years of history and a mission based on quality education, community enrichment, and respect for all.

Value and Convenience

Our Master's in Public Health has a total estimated cost of just $27,300, making it an affordable public health program. Plus, because your coursework is 100 percent online, you'll save on commuting costs and learn from where you already are.
